eZ publish Conference 2006
Once again, I’m heading off to the annual eZ publish Conference. This years conference is held in Skien, Norway, home of eZ systems HQ.
Greatest Bits
I’ve just bought the domain greatest-bits.com. If you ask me why, the answer would be “I don’t know”. Well, actually, about ten years ago, I used to call my backup CD’s “Greatest Bits”, by obvious reasons.
However, I own the domain, but have got absolutely no idea of how I should use it. Have you?
refererbin.com
Kyrre Baker has just launched a great new website, refererbin.com. The purpose of refererbin.com is to catch false referers (referer-spammers) and log them.
Over time you will be able to view statistics and download plug-ins for common blog-applications which will automatically re-direct referer-spammers from your blog to refererbin.com’s spam filter. You will also be able to […]
Getting Things Done
For the last couple of months I’ve been into a personal Getting Things Done project. My challenge is to keep track of all the little tasks, the ones that someone mentions by the coffee machine or you suddenly remember when walking on the street.

eZ publish Summer Conference 2005 Summary
Last weekend I joined the eZ publish Summer Conference 2005 at Gaustablikk, Norway. As some of the participants noticed, it’s not the centre of the world, but it’s a very beautiful and representative piece of Norway.
For me, the social part was as important as the seminars, getting to meet the eZ Community, represented by 120 […]
Validation buttons are not for the common webpage
Today, almost every webpage has a couple of validation buttons; usually for (X)HTML and CSS. If you’re a common web-monkey (like me), you can’t miss them, usually stuck at the bottom of every page. Luckily, I don’t see the official W3C buttons that often anymore, mostly because people seems to design their own, but also […]
That re-design process
I really must admit that I like the default WordPress-theme, Kubrick by Michael Heilemann. If not, I would have re-designed a long time ago. Anyway, my days are as allways filled with work (naturally), so my personal part here at Thoughts from up-north comes up second (at best).
Any suggestions for the design or functionality can […]
eZ publish Camp 2005
A couple of weeks ago, I signed up for the eZ publish Camp 2005. eZ publish is a state-of-the-art CMS, and as far as I know it’s also the biggest PHP-based Open Source application available.
The Camp of 2005 will be held at the Gaustablikk Resort, a magnificent place and an absolute must-see of Norway. At […]
